NuEnergy Gas Ltd., a gas and ancillary power generation development firm focused on unconventional gas production in Indonesia, announced Thursday the appointment of Kee Yong Wah as deputy executive chairman of the company with effect from April 7.
Kee was appointed as non-executive director of NuEnergy effective from Aug. 24, 2014 and re-designated to executive director from Jan. 1, 2015.
Kee has more than 30 years’ of experience in the oil and gas exploration, production and servicing industry. In 1984, he joined Halliburton as General Manager of Business Development in Asia and the U.S. His latest appointment in Halliburton was General Manager of Business Development where he was responsible for leading a group of Business Development and Account Managers in undertaking strategic planning and business development projects including mergers and acquisitions for all business units in Halliburton and formulating distributorship and agency agreements with customers. Having left Halliburton, Kee joined Smith International, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed company principally involved in the supply of products and services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, petrochemical industry and other industrial markets as their General Manager of its China operations. Subsequently, Kee served as the vice president of SPT Energy Group Inc., a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that is principally involved in the provision of oilfield services prior to joining NuEnergy.
Kee’s place of employment will be in Jakarta.
