Cudd Energy Services, based just north of Houston in The Woodlands, has become the latest company to announce it will be cutting staff in Texas.
In a letter to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Cudd Energy Services stated it is laying off 60 employees at its facility in San Antonio, in the Eagle Ford Shale region. According to the letter, employees worked their last day March 11, but will receive regular wages and continued health insurance and other benefits through May 10. Eligible employees will also receive severance pay.
The company, which delivers services for completion, production and workover services in offshore and onshore environments, has locations across the United States and some select international markets.
Cudd Energy Services’ is the latest in a string of layoff announcements in Texas, and more layoffs are expected until the oil and gas industry sees a full turnaround.
