The Energy Institute is to hold a conference at the end of October that will see discussion of the technical challenges faced by oil and gas companies in maximizing the value of their offshore assets in mature basins.
Speakers at the Aberdeen event will include specialists in asset integrity from the industry, as well as from the Oil & Gas Authority, the Health & Safety Executive and The Energy Institute itself.
Commenting on the event in a statement Gunther Newcombe, director of exploration and production at the Oil and Gas Authority, said:
“Asset integrity is at the heart of the oil and gas industry. It is crucially important to manage asset integrity well to ensure the safety of people and the environment and to maximize value to all stakeholders. It is a key area of OGA’s agenda going forward and forms an important part of maximizing economic recovery of the UK.”
The event, which is sponsored by Plant Integrity Management, is the sixth in The Energy Institute’s series of asset integrity management conferences.
Asset Integrity, Ageing and Life Extension in a Challenging Economic and Efficiencies-Driven Era will be held at the Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel on October 27, 2015.
