Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd.’s subsidiary Keppel Singmarine is on schedule to deliver an anchor handling tug to Seaways International shortly following a naming ceremony Monday for the newbuild vessel — Seaways 24 — at its yard in Singapore.
The vessel, a multi-task anchor handling tug with a bollard pull of 120 tons designed to undertake an array of offshore activities, is equipped with Class 1 and 2 fire-fighting capabilities, Class 1 oil recovery capabilities and a host of other equipment.
“We are pleased to deliver our fifth anchor handling tug to our long-standing client Seaways … we are confident that Seaways 24 will prove to be another valuable addition to their global fleet,” Abu Bakar, Keppel Singmarine managing director said in the press release.
