Lundin Norway AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 16/1-25 S, which is located south of the Edvard Grieg field in the central part of the North Sea.

Well 16/1-25 S, which will be drilled from the Bredford Dolphin (mid-water semisub), is the second exploration well to be drilled in production license 338 C. The drilling permit is contingent upon Lundin having secured all other permits and consents required by other authorities before drilling on the well begins.
