Cooper Basin focused oil and gas development company, Real Energy Corp. Ltd (Real Energy), reported Thursday that the Company has commenced field operations in preparation for the fracture stimulation program at Tamarama-1 weel, located in the Windorah Gas Project in ATP 927P, Cooper Basin, Queensland, Australia.
Workover operations have commenced today to re-complete the well with downhole fracture stimulation completion assembly. It is expected a Diagnostic Fracture Injection Test (DFIT) will be undertaken late next week and the DFIT pressure test results will be used for fine-tuning the fracture stimulation model.
Real Energy expects to commence the five-stage fracture stimulation program in the Toolachee-Patchawarra formation sections at depth below 7,546 feet (2,300 meters) in Tamarama-1 in mid-March.
Real Energy’s Managing Director, Scott Brown, commented: “This is an important step for Real Energy as we move towards commercializing our Windorah Gas Project in the Cooper Basin.”
